Women Speak Out for Birth Control

Chicago, IL: Join Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Congressman Mike Quigley, PCG, and other health advocates for a speak out supporting women’s access to contraception. The event is being held at the Chicago Temple, 77 W. Washington St., in Pierce Main Hall, in the lower level of the church. The Speak Out will begin at 12:00 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Kids Count Symposium and Business Luncheon

Chicago, IL: Voices for Illinois Children’s 2012 symposium will focus on “Investing in Opportunities for Children – Now”. The event will include information from the Kids Count 2012 data book, a three-person panel with time for discussion and questions, and a presentation from keynote speaker Patrick McCarthy, President and CEO of the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The event will be held at the Bank of America Building, 135 S. LaSalle St., Suite 4300, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by a business luncheon. Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice Spring Event

Chicago, IL: The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice of Illinois (RCRC) is hosting a spring educational event at the Chicago Theological Seminary, 1407 E. 60th St, from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. Speakers will include Majority Leader Rep. Barbara Flynn Currie and Rev. Dr. Carlton Veazey, former CEO of the national RCRC office and current Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church. The event will include discussion on state and national reproductive rights issues, and the presentation of awards to Illinois’ clinic escorts from the Unitarian Church of Hinsdale.
